Hair Care Post!

Hi everyone,
I don't know why...but I always love to cut my hair every fall. It gives me a fresh start to the school year and I always feel like my year begins during the fall season.

Now, I am definitely a person who is afraid of people who are scissor happy. I get so scared every time I cut my hair that it's just going to be horrible. I have finally found someone who I am comfortable with to cut my hair and I couldn't be happier.

I go to Gina's Salon in Skokie Illinois. I went to Cindy and she was so friendly and really listened to what I wanted to do with my hair. She also has very long hair and she told me she loves long hair so she would be sure to not cut a lot.

CUT: I ended up getting side bangs and long layers. I love the volume it gave my hair and she trimmed about tow inches worth. I try to take very good care of my hair. I do not heat style it often, which helps. I also have learned not to wash my hair too much, because it is so much better for you to not strip natural oils from your hair.

WASH: When I do wash my hair, I use Moroccan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. I recently started using it and I love the way it smells and makes my hair feel. I literally only need a pump of shampoo and two pumps of conditioner. With this duo, I feel the strength of my hair increasing overall. I honestly can say I would repurchase this. I also really love beautiful lengths by Pantene. I also have had a lot of success with mane and tail.

MY SECRET: I usually use a deep conditioner in the shower two times a week. My favorite is the three minute miracle by Aussie but I have tried so many that I love as well. This one is honestly just the most affordable so I usually repurchase it. I feel like this step always gives my hair the extra moisture it needs.

OTHER PRODUCTS: I always use heat protectant when I style. I always repurchase this tresseme one, it works so well for me so I'm sticking to it! I also use a detangled when I get out of the shower. I love this one by not your mother's.

Products I love:

Some tips & tricks I learned through my years:
  1. Sleep with a scrunchie! Hair ties can be rough on the hair and pull too much and scrunches are softer.
  2. If you style your hair, just protect it. Prevents split ends and breakage and increase hair growth.
  3. Cut your hair 2-3 times a year. This is a big one for me, I usually cut twice. I used to only cut every other year so I am making progress. It does help your hair grow and stay healthy.
  4. Leave in conditioners work! Oil treatments work! Take care of your hair and give it some TLC just like you would do for your skin.
  5. Comb hair in the shower. It is easier to run hair through and will have less fall out.
  6. Don't over wash your hair. I used to wash my hair everyday it was so horrible. At least skip a day and use some dry shampoo! This one is my favorite & I love this one too.  My batiste favorite is second on the list of best dry-shampoos on reviews.com !
Hope my hair tips helped you all! Let me know your favorite hair tips down below.
