My favorite bras & shape wear

 

This post is long over due! I feel like as woman, a good bra is so important. It takes forever to find the perfect fit. It literally took me years to figure out my size and the best type of bra. In this post I will outline that for you!

My favorite bra is the aeire real sunnie wireless push up bra . There are many reasons I love this bra, let me highlight them for you.  It has 360 degree stretch, super soft, stretchy, and no underwire. It also provides support without an uncomfortable wire. This bra is so comfortable that I literally forget I'm wearing it. I have never had a bra be that good! I love that it's push up as well.  Price is $49 and it comes in many neutral shades.

I also like the aeire real sunnie wireless lightly lined bra.  It doesn't give you the lifting affect of a push up bra, but it's still really great for everyday!

For my strapless bra choice, it is hands down the red carpet convertible classic bra. It has three hook closure, and let me tell you this is sturdy! I never have to yank this up to adjust it. It also has a grip on the inside so that it doesn't slip. It is a really high quality bra and I threw out all my other strapless bras once I found this one. 

For dresses that are a little more revealing or backless, I like these silicone covers. They are reusable as long as you store them correctly. It doesn't provide support but it will cover so you don't have a nip-slip. I wore those with the dress I wore on my birthday.

Now on to shape wear!

My by far most worn pair are the Spanx high power shorts.  They go up to right under your bra and sometimes I put my bra over them so they stay in place. They do have a grip, sometimes the grip rolls down and needs adjusting. That's something I can live with because I really like the way these fit. They smooth me out and complement my shape. I believe I am a medium in these.

I am wearing them here! I love to wear them with body con dresses. I am also wearing the strapless bra here as well!

I also really like the Shapermint brand, I wear these Empetua shaper shorts in a size m/l. I am wearing the shaper mint here! Really breathable and not too much compression.

If you are not looking for shape wear but want something to wear under dresses, I love these jockey skimmies cooling shaper shorts. They are great for when you wear aline dresses and you want to make sure nothing shows if you bend over or move quickly. They have no compression! Just something to wear under.

Wedding Season Dresses for every wedding

 Hi loves! A lot of us have weddings coming up this season, which is so so so exciting! I know a lot of us are looking forward to going somewhere after last year. Below I've categorized dresses based on the type of wedding. I hope you can find something you love! I have a wedding in May which I'm excited to go too. I will probably order one of these as well! 

If you have a beach wedding, consider one of the beach wedding guest dress options! Go for something floral, flowy, or a light color. I also love that red mini with a  cut out! I have never been to a destination wedding, but it seems so fun.

Shop:

I always love a bold color moment! Here are bright, colorful dress options. Some of these are pricer because they are gowns, but you could most definitely wear them next season. Colors that are solid rarely go out of style.

A lot of these options will also work for a fall wedding, even though I have spring/summer in mind. The sage color is all the rage right now. I am also seeing a lot of silk and mesh for dresses. A classic slip dress is never a bad idea!

My sister Jeanette ordered that pink one on the left, which I'm obsessed with! It's so cute, we have a wedding to go to in May and it will look adorable on her.  That blue dress on the far right is such a stunning wedding guest dress option! I think I will order that for the upcoming wedding.

If you have a back yard wedding or something outdoors, consider a floral dress. It is also pretty with greenery & a casual set up. They also pair well with wedges. 

4 Spring Trends 2021

 So many cute things are trending right now that I am loving! I wanted to highlight a few of them below for you. 

1. Straight leg jeans

All the Gen Z's are coming for millennials over this one. I just missed the cut off as a millennial so technically I'm a Gen Z but I definitely feel more like a millennial. I am loving straighter leg denim, I find it super flattering & comfortable. I've got a few pairs I love, I'll link them below.

2. Corsets 

Corsets are trending ever since Bridgerton hit Netflix. I couldn't help but love the fashion too! I got a corset dress from Lulu's that I love, but there are also a lot of cute corset tops on the market.

3. Color 

Who doesn't love colors for Spring? Color just make me so happy and excited fort he upcoming season! Pastels are great tones right now for spring. Also, color blocking and pops of color are going to be big this summer.

4. Matching Sets

My Top Nordstrom Sale Picks 2020

Hi guys! I hope you're having a great week. The Nordstrom sale is coming out soon and it's a good one if you need fall basics or winter. I usually buy investment pieces I am in need of, such as a new pair of running shoes or a winter coat. Below is my list this year and some picks from last year.  I don't recommend going over board on sweaters and trendy pieces, they will likely go on sale for the half yearly at lower prices. I do recommend pieces such as gym shoes, a new pajama set, barefoot dreams blanket, a good strapless bra, etc.

What I have bought in the past that I recommend:

Pajamas - I have had these for two years now, great quality and so comfortable 

Ultra Boost- I have these in two colors because I love them so much! So classic and crazyyy comfy. My favorite gym shoe by far.

NMD Gym Shoes - Another favorite, so comfy not as much 'support' but super trendy and chic.

Winter Coat - I always get a winter coat if I need one! North face are the best. If you are a card holder, I always suggest saving notes for these bigger purchases. You will get such a good deal!

Leather Jacket - I love this, bought this two years ago as well! Such a good staple piece I wear all the time. I will be grabbing the white this year! 

Blazer - Blazers are a must in a fall wardrobe! A plaid one will take you through the whole season in style. 

Suede Jacket -  These always sell out fast! I've had mine for 3+ year. Great quality and worth the price. 

Free People Denim-  I have two pairs of these, I shared how much I love them in an IGTV video. They are great denim, comfy + stylish. 

Zella Leggings - I have like 5 million pairs of zella. I always compare them to lulu lemon quality, seriously so good! If you haven't tried zella I suggest trying the high waist. You an also wear them as non active wear because they do not have that 'shine' to them.

Spanx Leather Legging -  The only flattering pair of leather leggings I have ever found! Get them while they are on sale. They suck you in, in all the right places. 

Warcoal Strapless Bra - The only strapless bra that stays up! Look at the crazy good reviews. 

Moroccan Oil Set - Great set, I love this brand. Such a good bundle! The mini oil lasts forever too.

As I purchase things, I will add them to this post & share what I like!

Some Great Sale Finds:

Summer Shorts!

Hi loves,

Shorts can be such a struggle I feel for every woman who has curves. I literally gave up on finding shorts until this summer. I found a couple good pairs so I have to share with you all.

1. Target Denim Shorts- This pair of denim shorts is so good, has a decent amount of stretch. I got a size 10, I'm usually between an 8/10 and I'm glad I snagged both colors. 

2. Paper Bag Tie Waist  Shorts - These are definitely a nicer pair of shorts and I think they can be dressed up or down. There are also 2 other cute colors too! Price is $19 and I got a large.

3. Abercrombie Belted Shorts - All about white & linen! On sale for $33 today. I originally got an L but I swapped it for a  M. 

4.  Mesh Biker Shorts - These are not compression at all and they are a great fit and good for workout out or relaxing. I got a L & they are $9. I love the mesh inserts. 

5. Fabletics Workout Shorts - These are compression and super cute and flattering. I love the mesh pockets!

6. Paper Bag Denim - These are super cute and a good length! Love the pockets and they are not a heavy denim material. I got a large & price is $19!

Fall Boot Guide 2019

1. Black Booties - On that same note, I loved the snakeskin boots so much I bought them in the black and let me tell ya, they are my most worn booties. They go with every outfit effortlessly and I just love how comfy they are!

2. Pop of color - So to me, a pop of color is burgundy because I am such a neutral style person! But these chunky sole burgundy boots stole my heart. They are super edgy and make me feel way cooler than I am. They are also super comfy and affordable.

3. Tan booties - I splurged on a YSL pair I found on mega sale, but I have so many tan booties that I love! These Halogen ones are super similar and way less money.

4. Snakeskin - These are Marc Fisher and honestly are the best pair of snakeskin boots I've seen. I'm really picky about how I want my snakeskin boots to look, and these are the perfect heel & pattern. I'm in love with them!

5. Waterproof - Ladies, if you live in a climate that gets cold/rainy...you need a pair of Sorels. They are fashionable and keep your feet warm and last years. I have a pair I am going on having for 3 years now. The quality is good and you can still look cute when wearing weatherproof shoes.

6. OTK Boots - Over the knee boots are still in style and I'm not mad about it. I have the Stuart Weitzman boots and they are so worth the investment. If you don't want to splurge, try this pair on amazon, which is a dupe for the goodnight macaroon boots that every blogger has.

7. Croc print - These croc kitten heel boots are so chic! Love that animal print is coming back in all types and textures. These are also on my wish list!

8. UTK Boots - These tall suede boots by Sam Edelman are SO in this season. I love hte black so much and I would love to own the tan soon! I love that they go under the knee, it keeps your body nice and proportioned (especially good for my petite friends!)

Favorite Products Lately

Hi loves!

Back this week with my favorite products lately. I like to round up these posts every once and a while to show you guys what I'm loving and using constantly.

1. Beauty Counter Tint Skin Hydrating Foundation - So I've been dabbling in clean beauty & I wanted a foundation that was good for my skin! I wear foundation anywhere from 10-12 hours a day and I wanted to choose an option that was better for me.  This is medium coverage, but build-able. I build it to full coverage daily. It feels light weight on the skin and lasts all day. It does not break down on your face or separate. It's definitely a win for me!  I wear the shade sand.

2. Otterbox Pop Socket Case - Ever since I got this case, it has been a game-changer for me! The pop socket is attached and it is sooo convenient.  It also is not as bulky if you were to add a pop socket to your phone. I also barely drop it now with this new case. It's worth the investment because this case has lifetime limited warranty as well!

3.  Amazon Wrap Sweater -  Ok this has to be my favorite amazon item to date?! So good! The quality is like my Nordstrom sweaters.  I love the wrap detail and I think it will look so good with dark denim or white jeans. Soo many ways to style it!

4. Ouai Leave-In Conditioner  - So I recently finished up my briogeo leave-in conditioner and I was debating what to try. I've always been curious about this brand and I decided to give it a try. I loveee how my hair feels when I use it and not to mention the amazing smell.

5.Bauble Bar Drusy Earrings - I don't like a huge statement earring but I do like something subtle. These are the perfect amount of glam and a great size. I always get so many compliments when I wear them and they look so expensive but they are such a good price! Love these! I might need the black too.

JULY AMAZON HAUL - everything under $50

Beaded Earrings -  These are stunning in person! Someone asked me if they were from Nordstrom. They totally look like bauble bar and are a great price! Price point is $11!

Nordstrom Sale - What I got + What is worth buying

Ton's of Nordstrom Sale coverage is happening but I'm here to share what actually worked out for me and what I'm keeping!

Tops/Sweaters:

Chelsea 28 LayeringTurtleneck - Perfect for layering. I can not survive the fall & winter without these. They are light enough to wear under a leather jacket and not break a sweat. SIZE: M

Halogen Turtleneck- A little thicker & a little longer. Same purpose as the other turtleneck! Grab some good colors and they will be staples in your fall and winter wardrobe. SIZE: M

Square neck tank - Love the square neck and love the material. A pretty neutral that will layer well under blazers, jackets & cardigans. SIZE: M

Knot Peplum top - A great throw on & go top. I love the pattern! It's so fun and will make a great work wear piece. Also will be super cute with jeans & booties. SIZE: M

Mock Neck Sweater- I have loads of sweaters so I did not need many. I got this one in the eggplant color. Something I don't have & I always love a mock neck style. SIZE: M

Pants/Jeans:

Kut for Kloth black flare jeans - Saw Emily Ann Gemma on the sweetest thing get these and I had to have them! Super cute flare. I grabbed a size 8!

1 state pants -  I love anything menswear inspired and these pants are IT for fall. Love the tie waist and the colors in them. I got a size 8!

Leith Jumpsuit - I will add this jumpsuit in to the pants since I'm not sure where else to put it. A great option for a date night, work, GNO, etc. I got the burgundy to have a little something different in my wardrobe besides black. I got a size L and it fits great!

Accessories:

Bauble bar earrings- Love a drusy stone and love this hexagon shape! Also an amazing price point.

All Saints Camera bag - A beautiful coffee color and super durable leather! Will make a great addition to my fall outfits. If you have never looked into all saints bags, I definitely would. The quality is amazing and they are super chic.

Shoes:

Vince Camuto perforated booties - Great heel height and beautiful deep gray color! Price point under 100 and TTS - I got my normal size 9.

Hiltin Knee High Boot - Didn't buy these this sale but I have them and totally recommend! TTS and love that they are under the knee and not above.

Steve Madden Heels - These are so fun! Love the straps & run TTS but a little narrow! If you have wide feet I'm not sure if this is the shoe for you. Under 60! A great buy.

Sorel Boots - You NEED these if you live in the midwest. Sorel are a lifesave & a super cute way to stay dry & avoid wet feet! I love these boots. My second pair of Sorel & they are such a great investment for our harsh winters!

Sole Society Loafers - Thought these would make the perfect work loafer & under 60! I regret to say I have not tried them yet so I do not know how they run but looove how they look.

Nordstrom Sale 2019 #NSALE2019

Hi all! I know there are so many people talking about the Nordstrom Sale so I am not here to talk your ear off. This is the first year I can shop early access because I've worked every year of the sale. I'm excited to get first dibs! I ordered a lot of basics. There seems to be a lot of great and chic work wear & chunky sweaters. I'm also looking to buy a good coat this sale! Chicago winters are tough and my old one needs to be replaced.

Without further ado, here is what I ordered/ am going to order. For reference, I'm mostly a M/L. In pants I either do 8/10.

Tips & tricks for shopping Amazon Fashion

Hi all,
Since the fall I have been purchasing a few items from amazon every month. I work with amazon in hopes that I can show all of you how to find great affordable pieces! I've had a couple people ask me HOW I find things on amazon. I never really thought about it, but I do have a lot of tips & tricks to shopping on Amazon and finding the right pieces.

 Blue ruffle top (size M) - 19.99 /  Sam edelman mules - 15.00

1. I usually go for prime items. Prime items are two day shipping and usually free returns. This helps because if you are ever ordering anything you are slightly unsure will fit or that you will like, the free returns is always an awesome option.

• More often than not, you can return amazon items to Kohls. You do not even need a box or to print anything. Make sure you have the amazon app! I show them a barcode, they scan it & then are able to print a return label and box it for me. 
• Sometimes you will have to return to UPS. It is still free returns as well!

2.  Read size charts carefully - When I do purchase items that are not prime, they usually ship from China. As a warning, things from China usually run VERY small. For example, I normally wear a medium or large. In some cases, from items from China, I wear a 2xl. Be sure to know your measurements because most of those items take a while to ship (10-14 days) and most cases you can not return.

3.  Read reviews - Reviews are everything on amazon! People will tell you things about their experience, how the item feels, how it was after being washed, etc. Reviews on amazon will always tell the truth about the item and influence my purchase. I try to leave as many reviews to help people!

4. BE SPECIFIC in your search - We have to remember that amazon has thousands and thousands of people who shop on their website and also thousands who sell on it too. If you're looking for black pants, do not just type black pants. Type the cut, style, etc. It will help narrow down your choices. For example, I like high waisted dress pants that tie at the waist. So I would type in high waist black skinny dress pant with tie. That result gave me 733 instead of just black pants which resulted in 30,000 options.

4 Comfy Travel Shoes

Before I took my Europe trip, I knew that I needed comfortable shoes to take with me! I've always been about comfort and style but I wanted to pack light (at least try to!)

I narrowed it down to a couple pairs of shoes and they were amazing!

1. WHITE SNEAKER - Gucci convertible sneakers - So I bought these right before my trip and it was my first time wearing them which I was kind of nervous about. The only thing that took a minute to loosen up was the tongue of the shoe. It was kind of stiff in the beginning but it got more comfortable with time! I would give them a 4/5 for comfort! They are comfortable but not out of this world comfy, if that makes sense. I have common project sneakers that are a little comfier due to the fact that they have a thicker sole. All in all, I recommend a white gym shoe for travel in general! 

price of  Gucci is 730 and the price of the common projects is 465. White sneakers will always go with everything!

2. ESPADRILLE -  I think espadrilles are such a great slip on option because they don't have a sneaker look to them. They can look more dressed up and can go well with dresses and more feminine outfits. I got the Sam Edelman Krissy ones which I loved and were good for doing things like going through TSA and little day trips but they were not THAT comfortable for a 10 mile day. I would recommend wearing little peds so the woven part doesn't rub on your skin but other than that part, it was comfy! These are priced at 79.99!

3. SLIP ON SNEAKER -  So I've never really been a slip on sneaker person because I personally feel like they always fit a little weird. I found these at DSW and I originally went for the 9 but then I realized they had a bit of room so I sized down to a 8.5 and they were perfect! They have memory foam and were super comfortable to walk around Rome in all day. Some days I did 10-15 miles walking and they felt amazing! These are just under 50 and are so worth it.

4. PLATFORM SANDAL -  I also bought these before actually testing them out and wearing them. They were crazy comfy! I was scared the back strap would rub the back of my heel but nope they were amazing. I totally recommend these sandals and I think they were only 27.99!
